Each Skala vase is a one of a kind creation that is turned, trimmed, and glazed by hand in San Francisco. The clay body is a buttery mid-fire stoneware. Pieces are coated in a brilliant white gloss glaze. Use one or mix and match different sizes to create unique and striking arrangements with or without foliage. Each vessel base is signed with the Gerhard Ceramics logo.

Our ceramics are fired twice fired in a kiln. The first firing heats up to 1800 degrees and the second heats up to 2100 degrees and takes 24 hours for each firing to heat up and cool down. All items are individually made on the pottery wheel and vary in size, color, and texture. These variations and imperfections are cherished and embraced!
